Latest Library Updates and Information + Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

The Sloatsburg Public Library is excited to re-open for limited hours. Now patrons can enjoy brief browsing, curbside pickup and other in-library services. A reminder that due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic the library must take mandatory precautions to ensure the safety of our staff and patrons.

As of Monday, August 17, we have re-opened to patrons for brief browsing for books, CD's and DVD's (up to 30 minutes per visit). We will limit the amount of patrons inside at any given time to keep with NY State guidelines and all patrons (over the age of two) must have a working mask on their face to be in our building.

While we will be open for browsing in our main space, our children's room will be continued to be closed (though all our children's materials will be made available upon request)  In addition there will be no seating available nor food or drink permitted at the current time.

Library computers will be available during open hours by appointment only and for a maximum of 30 minutes per day.  Patrons waiting for computer appointments will be asked to wait outside the library.

The library will dedicate special hours for seniors and immunocompromised patrons admittance only.  These hours are as follows:

Saturday: Noon - 1pm

We will also continue to offer curb-side pick-up service for any patrons who are more comfortable with that arrangement for the foreseeable future. Just call the library to reserve any materials and we will prepare them for easy pickup. Look for the latest updates on our limited re-opening. Computer times, limited to 30 minute increments, will be available with reservations,. There may be a limited browsing option for library materials during these appointments.
